My first session with you

I typically see our first session as an opportunity to “meet and greet” each other; to discuss any questions you might have regarding who I am as a therapist, the process of therapy, and any expectations or concerns you might want to share. We will explore identifying what has the most charge for you right now, and begin mapping out how we might most effectively address that issue.

And, if I determine you would benefit from therapeutic modalities which are not my specialty – I will provide you with that feedback and offer you alternative resources to explore.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask me as your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.  For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
